Personalised Problem Solving.
FÖRSTERdesign is a provider of prosthetic and orthotic services.
FÖRSTERdesign was started in May 2017 and is run by Mr.Udo Förster.
Prior to studying Orthotics and Prosthetics, Udo worked as a designer/maker and spent many years practicing in architecture, product design and as a freelancer creating mechanical theatre props and puppets. The design and problem-solving skills and craftsmanship he developed in this period forms a firm basis for his work in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O).
In the P&O profession we assess, prescribe, manufacture and fit orthopaedic devices including “Orthoses” – probably better known as Splints, Callipers or Braces, and artificial limbs or “Prostheses”.
In the FoersterDesign clinic, Udo will always conduct an initial assessment with new clients. He will give a detailed explanation of his understanding of the issue and options to assist. Accurate, individualised fitting of a device to a client is of course crucial, not just for custom devices but also for pre-fabricated ones. The ultimate aim is to ensure that an orthosis or prosthesis is comfortable, functional and improves the life of all clients.
